Land and family are his driving force

This is a far-flung endeavor that focuses on the connections between law and justice, family and friendships. Costner seems a natural fit for his character. He’s a world-weary man who’s seen too much and lied too often.

He hears footsteps coming toward him, but he can only fulfill his role out of habit and loyalty. While some of the actions are a bit confusing due to the lack of explanation, they feel natural, as if the viewer is getting a real slice of life in another world. I hope the resolution to this saga includes an emotional payoff that justifies its scope and attention to detail.
