Steve Ekpenisi

Steve Ekpenisi was born in 1978 in Abavo of Delta State. His Journey as an artist began at the age of five. Steve spontaneously engaged himself in training without knowing what and where it will lead him to. These exercises and dream of becoming an artist led him to study in Federal Polytechnic Auchi in 2003 where he had his National Diploma ND in painting and general Arts and Higher National Diploma HND in Sculpture in 2008.

Steve is very passionate about the use of metal in his sculptures; his works are highly embellished with good finishing touches. Hence, His works are influenced by socio-economic realities, political challenges, rich traditions and diverse beauty.

He has participated in several group exhibitions and handled over seven (7) monumental outdoor sculpture projects in Nigeria.
